You can do that with the plain old Shoutcast source plugin for Winamp. Just choose the soundcard for the source, and choose which recording source in your sound card's recording mixer.

That's probably the most logical explanation for it, but I will try and confirm if it happens again.

Probably. Is there a good way to tell?

It happened again. This time it was confirmed that there was network trouble on the servers prior to it happening (pinging the server yielded a 50% packet loss). During network trouble, all Shoutcast servers would say ICY 200 OK and often very slowly buffer in and stop a lot. After the problem was c...

Steamcast Tying up Server?

Well, it finally happened. I seem to have had something pretty drastic go wrong with my Steamcast server last week. I run a large Shoutcast process and a 5-slot Steamcast on the same Linux machine. Last week I started noticing that on both the Shoutcast and the Steamcast streams a slow buffer rate m...

I understand the concept. I just find the config on my D-Link confusing. Maybe it's because I've been choosing UDP.

The music I play is somewhat rare in the target market, and I cannot in good conscience facilitate file trading.

I've had the latest beta running for a few days. I don't think I've had a steady source on it for 36 hours though. I'm currently at 14 hours with my latest source. If I get it past 36 hours, I'll let you know. (I've disconnected to reconfigure things usually once a day. I'll resist that this time)....

Port forwarding never works for me. I can't serve behind a router. Anyway, they said they were directly connected.

And that is absolutely not true at all about the SC directory. Any station that works hard can be just as big without being listed there, as all of the stations listed there combined. A YP directory should not make or break you or you have set yourself up for a huge fall should it ever go down. Let...

Who cares about open source anyway? Who ever does anything good with the code for a program like this? That's right, no one. Jay knows what he's doing. Shoutcast yp support is by far the most important feature. As much as some may like to deny it, an online station can never perform at its best with...

I wanted to have the higher interval, so right now I have Steamcast relaying a Shoutcast server with the 8192 compatible interval, and that server is relaying the main one, set to 32768 and that's working out just fine. I suppose it probably wouldn't matter if they were all Steamcast servers. I wond...

I want to beta test the hell out of Steamcast. As soon as there is statistics support released in SAM3, if I choose to actually move everything over to SAM3 again, I will take my beta testing from 5 slots to 300 active on 3 servers.
